Background and Objectives: Preserving maternal and child health is one of the third millennium's fundamental development issues; in this regard, the World Health Organization (WHO) has introduced health literacy as one of the greatest determinants of health. Therefore, the current study aimed to determine the relationship between maternal health literacy with children's anthropometric indicators in 2023. Materials and Methods: This descriptive-analytical study was conducted on 330 mothers with two-year-old children. Six comprehensive health service centers in Semnan city were selected through randomly cluster sampling, and mothers who met the inclusion criteria were considered as the research sample. Data were collected using the Health Literacy Assessment of Iranian Adults (HELIA) questionnaire and using information related to nutritional status and children's health indicators available in the integrated health system (SIB). Data analysis was performed using SPSS25 software and appropriate statistical tests. Results: There was significant relationship between mothers health litracy and children's nutrition pattern with some of anthropometric indicators (p<0.05). Number of 268 (81.2%) children were within the normal weight range, which decreased to 265 (80.3%) at the two year,s old and changed towards overweight. While 313 (94.8%) were within the normal height range at birth, which increased to 321 (97.3%) at the age of two year. Conclusion: Mothers had a relatively good level of health literacy, and In addition to the impact of health literacy, children's nutritional patterns also is related on children's health indicators, especially their height and weight. The status of maternal health literacy and child health indicators (height, weight, and head circumference) is relatively good, but concerns about child weight gain are an issue that should be addressed.
